Rotate by 90°, straighten a tilted photo to any angle, or flip it — then download. Everything happens in your browser.
Rotate, Straighten & Flip — Privately
Quarter-turns, precise straightening and mirroring, all without a single image leaving your browser.
Quarter-Turn Rotation
Spin left, right or a full 180° with one tap — geometrically lossless, perfect for sideways shots.
Straighten Any Angle
A fine slider from -180° to 180° levels crooked horizons and tilted scans; the canvas grows to fit.
Flip & Mirror
Flip horizontally or vertically — fix mirrored selfies or create mirror effects, on top of any rotation.
Fixes Sideways Photos
Reads each photo's EXIF orientation so it starts upright, ending the 'why is it sideways?' headache.
Convert & Optimize
Save as JPG, PNG or WebP with a quality slider — keep transparent corners or a clean white background.
Private & Free
100% in your browser — nothing is uploaded. No login, no limits, dark mode, responsive to 280px.

Frequently Asked Questions
How to rotate, quality, the sideways-photo problem, rotate vs flip, transparent corners, straightening and privacy.
How do I rotate an image?
Drop in your image, then tap '↻ 90° Right' or '↺ 90° Left' to spin it in quarter turns, or drag the fine-angle slider to straighten a tilted photo to any angle. The preview updates instantly, and the new dimensions and file size are shown right above it. When it looks right, hit Download.
Will rotating reduce image quality?
A 90° or 180° rotation is geometrically lossless — the pixels are just rearranged. The only quality change comes from re-saving as a lossy format like JPG, so for a pure 90° turn you can keep quality at 100%, or choose PNG/WebP. Rotating by an odd angle (say 7°) does resample the image slightly to fit the new grid.
Why is my phone photo sideways, and does this fix it?
Phones often save a photo the way the camera sensor saw it and add a hidden EXIF 'orientation' flag telling apps how to turn it. Some apps ignore that flag, so the photo looks sideways. This tool reads the flag and shows the image upright to begin with, so you only rotate from the correct starting point — and the downloaded file has the rotation baked in.
What's the difference between rotate and flip?
Rotating turns the whole image around its centre (like turning a photo on a wall). Flipping mirrors it — horizontal flip swaps left and right (great for selfies that came out reversed), vertical flip swaps top and bottom. You can combine a rotation with one or both flips for any orientation you need.
Why does my rotated image have white or transparent corners?
When you rotate by an angle that isn't a multiple of 90°, the image no longer fills a neat rectangle, so the new corners have to be filled. JPG has no transparency, so those corners become white; PNG and WebP keep them transparent. Pick PNG or WebP if you don't want a white background.
Can I straighten a crooked horizon?
Yes — that's exactly what the fine-angle slider is for. Nudge it a few degrees until the horizon or building edges look level in the live preview. The canvas automatically grows to fit the rotated image so nothing gets clipped.
Is my image uploaded anywhere?
No. The rotation happens entirely in your browser using the Canvas engine, so your photo never leaves your device and nothing is stored. You can safely rotate private photos, scans or documents, and it works offline once the page has loaded.
What image formats can I rotate?
JPG, PNG and WebP are all supported, and you can convert between them on the way out. JPG suits photos, PNG is best for graphics or when you need transparent corners, and WebP gives the smallest file at similar quality.
