Frequently Asked Questions
Hosting, no-repeat draws, voice calls, ticket generation, what Tambola is, saving and playing in groups.
How do I host Tambola online with this tool?
Open the Number Caller, then tap Call Next to draw a number — it shows up big, gets struck off the 1–90 board, and (if voice is on) is read aloud with its traditional call. Turn on Auto to draw automatically at your chosen speed, or call manually so players have time to mark tickets. Use Fullscreen to project it on a TV or share your screen on a video call.
Does it repeat numbers?
Never. The caller draws from the numbers that haven't come up yet, so every number from 1 to 90 appears exactly once. When all 90 are drawn the game ends automatically. The board and the 'remaining' counter let everyone see the progress at a glance.
Can it call the numbers out loud?
Yes — keep the 🔊 voice button on and your browser reads each number aloud, including the fun traditional housie call (like 'Two Little Ducks, twenty-two'). It's great when hosting in a room or over a call so you don't have to read every number yourself. Tap 🔇 to silence it.
Can I generate Tambola tickets too?
Yes. Switch to the Tickets tab, choose how many you need, and tap Generate. Each ticket is a proper 3×9 Housie grid with 15 numbers — five per row, correctly distributed across the columns. Use Print to open a clean printable sheet you can hand out.
What is Tambola / Housie?
Tambola — also called Housie, and essentially the British/Indian version of Bingo — is a party game played with tickets of numbers from 1 to 90. A caller announces random numbers; players strike off matches on their tickets and shout out when they complete patterns like the top line, four corners, or a full house. It's a staple of kitty parties, Diwali get-togethers, weddings and family nights.
Will I lose the game if the page reloads?
No. The called numbers are saved in your browser automatically, so if you accidentally refresh or your screen sleeps, your game is right where you left it. Use New game to start fresh whenever you like.
How many people can play?
As many as you have tickets for — there's no limit. One person runs this caller (on a laptop, phone or TV) while everyone else plays on printed or digital tickets. It's perfect for big family gatherings and office parties.
Is it really free, with no app or sign-up?
Completely. It runs in any modern browser on phone, tablet, laptop or smart TV, with nothing to install and no account. The number-drawing happens entirely on your device.
